These terms cover your use of thecomeuppodcast.com. By using the site you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the site.
Who runs this site
thecomeuppodcast.com is published by The Come Up Podcast.
The Come Up Podcast is run by an individual, not a registered company. There is no separate legal entity behind it at the time of writing.
Because no company sits behind the site, these terms are an agreement with the individual who runs it. No governing jurisdiction is stated; if that becomes necessary, this section will say so.
[PLACEHOLDER – if a company or trading name is ever registered, its legal name and governing jurisdiction belong here, and the sentence above should be replaced. Michael to supply when that happens.]
What we publish
We publish commentary, opinion and reporting about comics, film, television, anime and fandom culture. We research what we write and we correct what we get wrong, but we are fans writing about the things we grew up on, not an authority on them. Nothing here is professional, legal, financial or investment advice.
Articles reflect the views of their authors at the time of writing. Where we cite a rumour, a leak or an unconfirmed report, we say so.
Corrections
If we get something wrong, tell us through the contact form. We will correct factual errors and note significant corrections on the article itself.
Our content
Unless stated otherwise, the writing, layout, branding and original graphics on this site belong to The Come Up Podcast. You may quote short extracts with clear attribution and a link back. You may not republish whole articles, or use our name or branding to imply we endorse something, without written permission.
Other people’s content
This site discusses films, comics, television and characters owned by others. Character names, images, logos and trademarks belong to their respective owners. They are used here for commentary, criticism and reporting, which we consider fair use or fair dealing. We claim no ownership of them and we are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any studio, publisher or rights holder we write about.
If you own rights in material used on this site and you believe it has been used improperly, contact us and we will review it promptly.
Your contributions
If you leave a comment, you are responsible for it. Do not post anything unlawful, abusive, hateful, deliberately misleading, or that infringes someone else’s rights. We may edit or remove comments and close accounts at our discretion. By posting, you give us permission to display your contribution on the site.
Links to other sites
We link to other sites, including YouTube, podcast platforms and sources we cite. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
Availability
We try to keep the site running and accurate, but we provide it “as is”. We do not promise it will always be available, error-free, or up to date. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the site or from anything you rely on here.
Newsletter and email
Subscribing to the newsletter means you agree to receive email from us. Every email includes an unsubscribe link. See our Privacy Policy for how subscriber data is handled.
Sponsorship and advertising
[PLACEHOLDER — once sponsorship starts, this section must state that sponsored content is disclosed, and how. Required by the FTC in the US and the ASA in the UK. Michael to confirm the disclosure wording.]

We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version.
